The Oyler Family Blog

Sadly, we are several states away from family and friends. But, we KNOW that they long to hear our mundane stories and self-righteous opinions. Never fear, friends- you can stay informed right here.

Opening night

Well, just in case anyone was wondering, I had my opening night show at the most famous comedy theater in the world tonight...

Yep! We did it. The Where Are We Project: An Improvised Documentary debuted tonight at Second City. We had a great crowd and it went really well. We run for 4 more Saturdays. It was so awesome!

If you want to see a blurb about the show, go to www.secondcity.com and click on Chicago and then Donny's Skybox. You will see the advertising.

Exciting! Hopefully this is the first of many :)

A Must-See

If you have not seen The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, a film that was released within the past couple of months...you must. It's my new La Vita a Bella. It's so brilliant.

It's still playing in some theaters. After that you'll have to wait until it comes out on video. Don't! You must see it in the theater!

Doing what we can

It's official. We contributed money to the Obama campaign today.

Favorite Quote of the Campaign thus far

But President George W. Bush Sunday attacked Obama's foreign policy saying in an interview aired on Fox News Sunday: "I certainly don't know what he believes in."

Obama's campaign shot back, with spokesman Bill Burton saying: "Barack Obama doesn't need any foreign policy advice from the architect of the worst foreign policy decision in a generation."

Ha! I love it.

Brrrr....

Do you know what -30 degrees feels like?

Because I do. That was our windchill yesterday.

And it hurts, guys. It hurts.

New sweet Bob Segar vintage iron-on shirt

This is pretty much the most amazing shirt ever. Cameron bought me a vintage Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band iron-on, and for Christmas he put it on a shirt for me. It's sweet. I think it was Andy who said that they look like guys from old Civil War rebel army pictures. I agree.

New Years Eve Pictures

It's been a while. We spent the New Year at the California Clipper with our friends Jeff and Allison.
