Sadly, we are several states away from family and friends. But, we KNOW that they long to hear our mundane stories and self-righteous opinions. Never fear, friends- you can stay informed right here.

New York News

So...Cameron and I are amping up for our trip to New York City March 14-19. We just added a really cool thing to our list of awesome things that we are doing. I thought that I would share.

First of all, we are staying at a hotel in midtown. We are not staying with friends, which rocks. Secondly, on March 15 we are going to see Spamelot and we have like Orchestra seating. Awesome. Lastly- just got the confirmation yesterday- we are going to a live taping of The Colbert Report on March 15. It's Steve Colbert's fake news show that is on Comedy Central. It's kindof like The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. We are SO EXCITED! I also have a friend who is interning on the Conan O'Brien show that we are trying to get to help us tickets. Awesome,

By the way- Dwayne you still haven't suggested any places for us to go check out...like bars and restaurants and whatnot.

Read about my Ureter

So...it seems that every time I feel that I may be making some sort of progress towards pulling myself out of this financial hole I am in.....I get pushed right back in it. I went to the doctor this morning to find the cause of my severe kidney area pain, and they are not sure what it is. I will get a diagnosis today. It looks like a kidney or bladder infection. So...that is sweet. Just thought I would spread the good cheer.

I also have my appraisal this week at work, which is doubley sweet considering I walk like an old man from the loin pain. Aaaahhh....life is grand.

I know what you're thinking, Mom....."This is just what she gets from all of those years of torturing Sheila." But au contraire, Mom. God says that we are punished BY our sins and not FOR our sins. And all of that torturing didn't feel half bad :)

Anyways, I will keep you posted on the details of my ureter, and I hope everyone is doing slightly better than I am.

Random photos

Okay...

So this is my new girlie poker set that I got for Christmas....very cute.

A random photo of Cameron and I out a couple of weekends ago.

And me with all of my winnings at the poker tournament...

The end.

Miss Oyler

So...it occured to me that you guys don't think of me as an adult with an actual career and life. I vowed to myself to take some pictures of my classroom and my surroundings and post them. Instead, this is all I got:

This is me on Friday at work. It was jeans day, and I looked cute as usual (lie). In the close up picture I have some black dry erase marker on my chin...like a teacher should. The picture where I am sitting is outside of my door. One of the teacher's stuck a wooden Peter Pan and a wooden FCCLA lady outside of my classroom door. Weird.

Anyways, more random pictures to come. I'm not feeling well tonight (still sinus infection) and I am home alone. Cameron and some friends went to college station to some A&M alumni thingy. Good timing because I feel terrible and it is 10 degrees outside. I have to work tomorrow afternoon, so I have worked about16 hours this weekend at Old Navy. Awesome. Life is good!

More Poker Night Pics

More pics....one of my chips at the end....one of Danny being sad after I won a huge hand against him....and the last of my winnings.

More to come! My blogger is being sloth-like about posting my pictures. I'll get them up though.

Poker Night

I promised these a while ago, and I'm finally delivering (give me a break- i've been busy).

Anyways, this is Poker Night (remember when I won $80?).

Pics include- Chips from my first big win, Cameron sulking after being the first person eliminated, and me....being pimpish.

A Valentine Wish

Hey Kids,

I hope you all enjoy the evening with your favorite Valentine. I've cooked your Mama a great Italian dinner [including wine], then after a short interlude of adult conversation, it's a regular evening----homework, O'Reilly Factor, dozing on the couch, and bedtime. Life is good!!!.

love ya all

My weekend and coming week

So.....

This weekend was a little uneventful. Friday night I worked. Saturday day I worked.....Saturday night Cameron had a show....we went out afterward. It was okay.

Sunday (last night) Cam and I celebrated Valentine's day because he has improv shows on Tuesday and we won't get to celebrate then. We hung out all day, and then that night we had a good dinner (some candlelight P.F. Chang's) and exchanged gifts. It was really simple and really nice. It was a little uneventful, but really, we are so dang sweet and mushy all the time that Valentine's Day was not much different for us ( I know, lame. Don't make fun of me).

In the most important news...I apparently have a sinus infection? Cameron says that is what it is anyway, and he's the king of allergies (when he was a kid he had experiments done on him because he was a freak of nature) so I believe him. I'm not going to get antibiotics because I don't have the funds to pay for them OR a trip to the M.D. But Cameron had me do this Nasal Irrigation thing, which was terrible, and I'm working through the pain and he is taking care of me.

So that's really the biggest thing going on in my life. This weekend I have to sing the STAR-SPANGLED BANNER at the opening baseball and softball games in Farmersville......that's not very exciting. And.....I'm working Friday and Saturday...also not very exciting.

We are REALLY excited about the 24th and 25th! By the way, I won't be moved by then, so you are still headed to the same place. I'm still working on the move.

Anyways, I hope everyone is good. Andy and Amy, when do we get some pics of Amy's baby belly or some sonogram pictures or SOMETHING!? I'm excited about that damn baby!

Mom...Question...

Are you and dad still planning on coming to town on the weekend of February 24-25? Let me know, because I've got some things happening in life and I need to ask off work as well. Also, Cameron MAY take off his Saturday show because of this news we just got:

The Helmbergers are celebrating Joe's birthday on Saturday night, the 25th at this sweet honkey-tonk bar in Rockwall. Some teachers are going to go and friends and stuff, and we'll have some dinner and dancing. So, if you guys are in town it would be the perfect opportunity for everyone (including Cameron) to meet and spend some quality time dancing and drinking and whatnot. So, let me know what your plans are.

Poker Night!

Hey guys.....great news! Well, last night we had a little poker night at Cameron's. Our friends, Todd and Millice came over, and CAmeron's rommate DAnny also played. Well, there was a $20 buy-in, winner-take-all (and the second place person getting their money back). Just me....and the boys!

Guess who took all? Me. I won $80 bucks last night playing poker. Freaking awesome. Pictures to come soon....

Hope your weekend was as good as mine.

Pics from TAnya's last night in Texas

Tanya and I being cute....me excited that Tanya has arrived.....Cameron and I being faux sexy-like.

Party Pics from "The Night of Many Shots"

Me torturing our friend Todd with a kiss on the cheek (he hates humans...he reminds me a lot of Andy), Todd and I looking crazy...and Cam looking confused. Probably because he just had a "Mind Eraser" and his mind was indeed erased.

My Life in a Nutshell...

So, I have a little extra time right now so I thought I would freestyle a bit here and catch you up on the haps (who says "haps"?)

This past weekend, I worked on Friday night and then ventured down to Dallas to catch the second half of Cameron's show...I met up with his parents (who were also at the show) and chatted a bit. After they said goodbye, we headed out to a bar called Vickery Park where we had roughly one million shots (one million is just an estimate. It could have been more. I had a previous post about the tequila shot that was included in the million). We hung out with our friends Todd, his girlfriend Lisa, Cam's roommate Danny, Dan Grimm (whom most of you have met. Also, you may see his work from time to time, as he is a pyrotechnic guy for the Dallas Cowboys), and our ex-friend Sarah. It was a pretty late night, but Cameron and I felt great the next morning because we have been drinking so much water (roughly 8-12 cups per day). The next night was my friend Tanya's last night in town (she's moving to Chicago), so we headed out to a bar called The Beagle for some dancing and whatnot. It was a swell time, and I'm posting some pictures even though most of you get photo diaries from me.

This weekend we have some big plans. Friday night is open for the taking, but Saturday night we are planning a little game of poker at Cameron's apartment. It should be swell, and I should take everyone's money (like I did to you suckas). Sunday of course is the Super Bowl. I think I may have to work, but Cameron is throwing a bit of a Super Bowl Party that I will have to swing by. So that is the big plan. We are anxiously awaiting our trip to New York City in March. By the way, Dwayne, can you recommend some bars and restaurants? Cool places? I only remember a few.

Anyways, take care all.

Loathefully Yours,

Lindsay
